TV One presents a different
take on Divorce Court and focuses on the flip side of
African- American love and marriage. Divorce Court is
a staple of syndicated television and most people are familiar with its focus on
divorcing couples. Altogether, Divorce Court
has had a total of 28
seasons and is the longest-running court show in the United States.
The show is also one of the first television programs to explore serious relationship issues, including racism, alcohol and drug abuse, war, cancer, grief, pornography, gambling and incest, to name a few. It is with that in mind that TV One presents cases with a modern twist all presided over by Judge Mablean Ephriam.
